Life is short

Today one of our kitties went back to heaven. Her name is O'Fleur - and yes, I'm named after her.

O'Fleur was a most wonderful kitty. We'd seen her born in our home. She was a seal point female Birman cat - she was a very special kitty. It doesn't seem like it has been over eighteen years - but it really has. She's been just a wonderful treasure - very affectionate, a wonderful mom, loved to be near you. She loved to play - more than any other kitty we've had - she'd chase strings around all day long. She really didn't like our dogs at all - but even got over all that fear over time. She loved to have butter in the morning - we'd make toast and have to butter a corner of the plate for her and she'd be waiting on the couch for it - meowing until you brought it. She was a sweetheart - just a wonderful kitty.

She'd had cancer a few years ago. Been cancer free for a few years now. But, it came back. O'Fleur was having increasing problems - and today was the day. We sent her home over the rainbow bridge.

I love her dearly. I'll miss her deeply.

Eighteen years sounds like a long time - but it's really just a flew by. Hug your loved ones, cuddle with your hubby, express your love in creative ways, let them know.

Time flies by so very fast.
